What is Lightbulb?

Lightbulb Training Consultancy was established in 2009 with the sole aim of providing training services.

Lightbulb was brought to life by its two founding Directors, Mark Forbes and Andrew Horsfall.

It all happened following many many years of attending dull monotonous and truly uninspiring training courses. Courses that were designed to deliver the training material with no thought for the individual learner.

As investment in training doesn't come cheap, it is vital that whatever material is presented to your learners is retained and used by them. Those course that we have attended in the past have rarely achieved this key objective.

We felt that there had to be a better way - and there is. Lightbulb has developed many varied methods for ensuring a better return on your training investment - by ensuring that your learners learn and don't forget.

Remember that research suggests that your employees will forget 80% of what they hear on a traditional training course. Added to that, if their new-found knowledge is not used for four weeks after the course, they will forget another 80% of what they did take away. That gives a meagre return on investment of 4% retention.
